PNC / Test Effectiveness Calculator
The PNC Calculator is an Excel tool that estimates the Probability of Non Compliance of a requirement given its specification limits and expected variation. In addition, its Test Effectiveness functionality predicts the impact of measurement system variation on PNC - computing the probabilities of passing bad units and failing good units.
Features:
- Computes the tail areas of the Normal distribution to much greater accuracy than the standard Excel functions
- Computes the probability of passing bad units (escaping defects) due to measurement system variation
- Computes the probability of failing good units (unnecessary scrap and rework) due to measurement system variation
